Can I use the extension without enabling third-party cookies?
Absolutely! You can still enjoy the full benefits of the Scrible Extension without having third-party cookies enabled. However, it requires setting up a few exceptions manually. Once you've made these changes, do remember to test the configuration by saving a page (but not from the Scrible site itself, as that won't test third-party cookies).
Here's how you can add Scrible as an exception in different browsers:
For Firefox Users:
- We've created this helpful article that guides you through the process of managing cookie settings in Firefox. Check it out for detailed steps!
For Chrome Users:
- Paste chrome://settings/cookies into your URL bar and press enter.
- Scroll down to the Customized behaviors section on the Cookies page, click Add, enter [*.]scrible.com, and then click the Add button.
For Microsoft Edge Users:
- Paste edge://settings/privacy/trackingPreventionExceptions into your URL bar.
- Click on the Add a site button, enter [*.]scrible.com in the field, and click Add.
For Safari Users:
Good news! If you're using our Safari extension, Scrible should work perfectly fine without third-party cookie support.
We're working on providing specific instructions for other browsers in the near future. If you encounter any issues or have other browser-specific queries, feel free to reach out for assistance.
