How to Create an Ephemeral Bibliography from your Scrible Library

Creating a bibliography from your Scrible Library is a straightforward task, especially when you are looking to generate an additional version or a different format beside the default one. If you are using Scrible Edu Pro, you can take advantage of the 1-Click Bibliography feature, but sometimes you might need something more flexible. Here’s a simple guide to help you create an ephemeral bibliography* for your needs.

Step 1: Choose Your Library

Begin by selecting the library from your Scrible account that houses the sources you wish to reference. This is your workspace where all your articles and references are stored.

Step 2: Navigate to the Sources Tab

At the top of the Scrible window, you’ll find several tabs. Click on the Sources tab. This tab displays all the references stored within the selected library.

Step 3: Select Your Sources

Identify and place a check mark next to the sources you want to include in your bibliography. If you intend to include all listed sources, you can simply check the "select all" box available in the subtasks of the Sources window.

Step 4: Generate Your Bibliography

After selecting the desired sources, look for the icon resembling double quotation marks within the interface. In the upper right of the pop-up window, click the Copy icon to instantly create a bibliography from your chosen sources. The bibliography is automatically copied to your system's clipboard, making it easy to move to the next step.

Step 5: Paste into Your Document

Now, navigate to the document where you wish to include the bibliography. Use your system’s paste function (usually Ctrl+V or Command+V) to paste the collected information into your document.

NOTE: * An ephemeral bibliography is a one and done operation. This bibliography will not be stored in Scrible. If you would like to keep a record of it, please paste it to a location that you will be able to easily access.
