How can I create a bibliography from sources in my library?

The bibliography and citation features are available with the Edu and Edu Pro plans.

Editing Citations

When adding a source to the Scrible library, click the citation button in the sidebar to the right () and complete any missing information before leaving the page.

To edit the citation information from the library, simply hover over the source and choose the citation button to the right.  

The Edit Citation box appears, and fields are easily edited from here.

Creating a bibliography with the Edu plan 

From the library, mark the checkbox to the left of each source to include it in the bibliography. Then click the citation button located above the top source listed. 

The bibliography is created automatically. 

Click on the Copy icon to copy and paste. The correct formatting should remain. 

To generate the bibliography in the future, reselect the sources again from the Scrible Library.

Creating a bibliography with the Edu Pro plan

While in the Sources tab of a Scrible library, select the sources to include in the bibliography with a checkbox to the left of each source, or select all with the checkbox at the top. Then select the citation button located above the top source listed to add to the bibliography. 

Another way to create the bibliography with the Edu Pro plan is from the Bibliography tab (see the screenshot below). 

Sources in the library are listed along the left side. Simply drag and drop those sources into the bibliography, or click the + button that appears when hovering over a source in the sidebar. That source will be added to the bibliography in the correct order.

To remove a source or edit the details, hover over it in the bibliography and use the remove button or the edit citation button that appears to the left of each entry. 

Additional Note: The Scrible Writer Add-On for Google Docs and the Scrible Writer Add-On for Word are robust tools. Adding sources in the Google Doc or Microsoft Word will add them to your bibliography in Scrible, and adding them here will cause them to appear in your Google Doc or Microsoft Word. When the add-on refreshes, you should see a green checkmark.
