How to Annotate Google Docs Using Scrible
Currently, Scrible does not support uploading Google Docs directly into your library. However, there’s a simple workaround that allows you to bring your Google Doc content into Scrible so you can annotate it like any other source. If you need to annotate a document created in Google Docs, you can do so by downloading it as a PDF and uploading it to Scrible.
📌 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create Your Document in Google Docs
Write or compile your content as usual in Google Docs.
2. Download the Google Doc as a PDF
In Google Docs, go to:File > Download > PDF Document (.pdf)
This will save a PDF version of your document to your device.
3. Upload the PDF to Your Scrible Library
Log in to Scrible.
Go to the library where you want to store the file.
Click the + New Source button and then click "Upload File (pdf, docx, etc.)".
Select the PDF file you just downloaded.
Your document will now appear in your library as a PDF.
4. Annotate the PDF in Scrible
Open the file and use Scrible’s built-in tools to:
Highlight and underline text
Add comments and other annotations
Organize it with tags
