How do I tag sources from a Library?
Sources in the library can be searched by their tags, making them easier to organize and retrieve. Add or remove tags individually or with multiple sources at once.
Add or remove tags from individual sources in the library
- Hover over the source in the library
- Icons appear to the right
- Select the tag icon
Add Tags
- Type each tag in the Add/Remove Tags popup box
- Select enter to create each new tag
Remove Tags:
- To remove tags, hover over the individual tag
- Click on the X on the right edge of the tag outline
- Click the Close button when the tags are complete
Add or remove tags from multiple sources at once
- Go to the library
- Check the box to the left of each source
- When the boxes are checked for all the sources that need to be edited, select the tag icon located above the first row of sources
Bulk Add/Remove Tags box
- When the Bulk Add/Remove Tags box opens, existing tags are already listed.
- Click the box next to an existing tag, creating a checkmark if you wish to add it to the selected sources
- To create a new tag, type in the text box and press enter
- The new tag appears in the list of tags with a checkmark next to it
Before clicking the Apply Tags button
- Tags with a checkmark are added to each selected source
- Tags with a dash remain with their current source and will not be added or removed from any sources
- Tags with an empty box are removed from each selected source
- Confirm a checkmark is next to each tag in the list you wish to add to the selected sources
- Click the Apply Tags button
In the image above, the tags "space" and "webb telescope" were added to each selected source.
