How do I use keyboard shortcuts in Scrible?

Using keyboard shortcuts is one of the easiest and quickest ways to enhance your Scrible experience. In addition to increasing efficiency, keyboard shortcuts also help reduce wrist and hand strain. If you're new to keyboard shortcuts or want to learn more about them, keep reading!

Uninterrupted Flow and Increased Efficiency

One of the benefits of using keyboard shortcuts is the speed and efficiency with which you can get things done. Rather than taking your hands off the keyboard to navigate menus using a mouse or touchpad, you can use pre-determined keystrokes to do the work for you. This can be especially helpful when you're typing and don't want to break your flow. Using keyboard shortcuts, you don't have to move back and forth between the keyboard and mouse. Instead, you can move through screens and features quickly with a few quick keystrokes. So using a few keyboard shortcuts can save you time and help you get your work done more efficiently.

Activating Shortcuts

To get started, you'll need to press Ctrl + Shift + S to activate the shortcut keys, which will cause the shortcut keys to appear over their corresponding area or feature. The next key pressed will be checked to see if it's for a shortcut. The shortcut mode automatically turns off after 5 seconds or the next keypress, whichever comes first.

NOTE: Shortcuts are case-sensitive. So, the "o" and "O" shortcut keys in the following screenshot yield different actions.

Examples:

Pressing Ctrl + Shift + S and then capital "O" opens the Outline Tab.

Pressing Ctrl + Shift + S and then "+" opens the Add New Source Menu. You can then choose the type of source you wish to add from the menu.

NOTE: Not all features mentioned are available in all plans.
